An upgrade on the hugely popular but discontinued P26A 18650 Battery. The Molicel P28A 18650 battery offers an upgraded capacity of 2,800 mAh in energy with up to a whopping 35 amps in Maximum Continuous Discharge/Drain Rating. Although you may get a somewhat shorter cycle life at this given amperage, but the cell is made to handle that kind of load without any issue.

This is the hardest and longest-hitting cell in the 18650 form factor size with more than 2,000 mAh capacity. It hits the hardest through the entire discharge duration when seen on the discharge with capacity graph versus any of its competitors.  It’s the Best All-Around cell in the 18650 form factor size for Ultra-High Discharge/Drain and has a moderate-high capacity.

They are, but you shouldn’t pull more than 25A without some kind of cooling in place; they can get up to 99°C when discharging 35A so unless you are putting these into another device with active battery cooling best to think of them as 25A, getting 18650 cells hot will significantly shorten their life span.
